This application is to participate in in-person activities. If you are interested in our mentorship opportunities, please contact Debut Atlantic. Debut Atlantic is committed to maintaining equitable access to professional arts experiences for all schools, and participation in our school shows program remains free of charge. However, the recent elimination of Artist in Schools funding has created significant pressure on our ability to meet the growing demand for these performances. Where possible, we invite schools to support the sustainability of the program through a voluntary contributions. There are many ways to support Debut Atlantic’s arts education programming. Schools are invited to make a voluntary “pay what you can” contribution, participate in our “Toonies for Tunes” campaign by collecting small donations from students and families, and help spread the word within their school communities. Individuals and community supporters can also donate at any time through our CanadaHelps page. Every contribution, no matter the size, helps ensure students continue to experience the joy, creativity, and inspiration of live performances in their schools. All Debut Artists participate in video conferencing sessions through the Newfoundland Department of Education’s Centre for Distance Learning and Innovation. These sessions are available via live-stream to schools throughout Atlantic Canada.
